SUPPLEMENTAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
The American Cancer Society is attacking cancer from every angle. Increasing access to care is a top priority. Finding transportation is a matter of life and death for cancer patients and their families who care for them. Access to transportation to and from treatment is a critical factor in whether patients receive and complete their life-saving cancer treatments.
WASHINGTON INVITATIONAL 2018 IMPACT
The generous support of 2018 Washington Invitational guests provided
492 rides for cancer patients who otherwise would not have been able to receive life-saving treatment.
THE NEED IN WASHINGTON
This year, golfers at the Washington Invitational will once again have the opportunity to help more patients throughout Washington with their transportation needs. This means, if an ACS volunteer driver is unavailable, we provide patients with supplemental transportation via a top-rated rideshare network or a licensed taxi service.
This year, more than 39,190 Washington residents will be diagnosed with cancer. Where someone lives should not determine whether they have access to quality care.
